About Us

Division of Theoretical Physics (theory.IFPAN) is a part of Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences.

Our research intrests encompass a broad range of topics – including Condensed Matter, Atomic & Molecular Physics, Biophysics, Quantum Technologies, and Foundations of Physics – which can be gathered under the umbrella of a theory of complex quantum and classical systems.

Upcoming Event
MaSQOT II
Masovian Symposium on Quantum, Optical and Atomic Physics

We are happy to inform you that the second edition of the MaSQOT. Meeting is planned for June 10–11, 2026.

MaSQOT aims to bring together researchers at all career stages, from students to professors, working in the Masovian area in the fields of quantum, optical, and atomic physics. The meeting is intended as a platform for scientific exchange, networking, and strengthening collaboration within our local research community.

The first MaSQOT meeting, held in 2024, attracted nearly 100 participants and was received very positively by the community. Encouraged by this success, we are very much looking forward to this year’s edition and hope to welcome an equally vibrant and engaged group of participants.

More details regarding the programme and registration will follow soon via email and on the meeting webpage.

We look forward to seeing you in June!
